Southland, one of the regions closest to Antarctica, is home to vast pastures where sheep, cows, and deer graze; driving through the region can sometimes mean waiting for a herd to cross the road. This majestic landscape of continuous pastures symbolizes the gentle climate of New Zealand. The region is also known for its dairy and meat products.
