Although he is only 31 years old, he has been helping with beekeeping since he was 3 years old and doing it alone since he was 12, so his beekeeping career has been nearly 30 years. The apiary is located on a mountain at an altitude of 2,355 meters, about 200 kilometers from the capital Athens. The entire mountain has been designated as "Hermos-Voulaicos National Park" to protect its beautiful scenery and ecosystem.
