[Alcohol] Chouchen Melmore (honey wine) 750ml [Distillerie Warenghem]

3,652(税込)

A rare amber-colored mead made by a long-established French company. It is made by fermenting a mixture of honey and water. (This is a method unique to Brittany, where a small amount of freshly squeezed apple juice is added to start the natural fermentation of the honey.) The main types of honey used are wildflower honey, buckwheat honey, sunflower honey, etc. It is a traditional drink from the Brittany region of France that has a much longer history than wine. It has an alcohol content of 13% and is often served as an aperitif in restaurants. It is said that ancient Germanic peoples drank mead for one month after their wedding. This was called the honey moon, and is said to be the origin of the modern word honeymoon.
