Although he is only 31 years old, he has been helping with beekeeping since he was 3 years old and doing it alone since he was 12, so his beekeeping career has been nearly 30 years. The apiary is located on a mountain at an altitude of 2,355 meters, about 200 kilometers from the capital Athens. The entire mountain has been designated as "Hermos-Voulaicos National Park" to protect its beautiful scenery and ecosystem. Most of the mountain is covered with Greek fir, and it is known as one of the producers of high-quality Erato honey.

Honey harvesting area details Mount Hermos is a 2,355m high mountain in the Peloponnese Peninsula of Greece. It is located about 200km (about 3 hours by car) from the capital Athens. It is also called Mount Aroania. The entire mountain has been designated as the Hermos-Voulaikos National Park to protect its beautiful scenery and ecosystem. Most of the mountain is covered with Greek fir trees, and it is known as one of the producers of high-quality Erato honey. It is known as the area with the least light pollution (pollution caused by excessive light) in Europe, and an observatory has been built near the summit. The honey harvesting area is located at an altitude of 750m.
